Summer Season Sign Up: Season begins on June 5th, 2011

Hey bowlers,

I know you have all been anxious to find out when the Summer Season will begin. I have gotten the dates approved with management. The summer season will begin the week of Monday, June 6th-Thursday, June 9th. Since it is the summer some leagues will be dropping out, and we will also have a King of the Hill individual league available for the more competitive bowlers. The summer league will last for only 10 weeks. Here are the leagues available:

Monday at 6:30pm John Tracey's King of the Hill - this is an individual bowling league for competitive bowlers, run by our in-house pro John Tracey. The concept of King of The Hill is a Singles tournament will be held every week. The last week there will be a tournament of all the winners.

Sunday at 8pm Ten-Pin Jukebox Entry-level league with some intermediate competition. Very easy going teams with some great 60s rock and soul DJ'd by Holly Su and Royal T.
Monday at 9:30pm Blue Monday Bowling - intermediate/casual team league with 9 teams
Tuesday at 6:30pm Hipsters & Doofuses - usually our local area restaurant league with some other casual/fun-seeking teams. 10 teams altogether
Tuesday at 9:30pm Soul Bowl - a more competitive league with 9 teams.
Thursday at 9:30pm Beyond Thunder Bowl - intermediate/casual team league with 9 teams.

You can email me to sign up now! I will need the following: Team Name, Team
Roster (including full names and emails), Night preferred. Please let me know if you are not resigning up as well, as it will make it easier for me to know if there are open slots in a specific league.

I know some teams mentioned they might like to change their night due to
changing work schedules, etc. If this is the case please allow a few weeks
for me to confirm the change. I will try to make things work for you guys,
but it really depends on the openings available in each league. Returning
bowlers have first picks, so please respond to this email if you would like
to keep bowling before the summer! After that I will open registration to
new bowlers.

take care,

Spring League Banquet on Thursday, May 26th, 2011

Hey bowlers,

The blog pages have been updated for all of the leagues showing how each playoff bracket turned out for the season. Pretty soon I will also update the blogspot with High Game, High Average, and Most Improved Average listings, so you can see where you stand against your former oppenents.

The Spring 2011 league season End of Season Banquet will be held on Thursday, May 26th 2011 at 8pm-11pm. There is no reason why you should miss this one!
Here are some of the amenities that will be offered as far as our tribute to you for another exciting season here at North Bowl:
1) A chance to relax and catch up with old rivals and teammates as well as new friends from other leagues.
2) Open bowling in the upstairs loft.
3) Open bar and buffet beginning at 8:30pm-9:30pm. Beers and food items included in this special are forthcoming and I will have those details to you in the next few days.
4) Due to popular demand at past parties, I think it'd be a good idea if we held a final No-Tap Tournament for you guys. I will take sign ups starting at 8pm on Thursday, first come first serve, with a buy-in of $20 for a one-game series and cash prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd highest scoring games.
5) The awards ceremony will commence around 9:30pm. Trophies and cash prizes will be awarded to the top 4 teams from each league, as well as plaques and medals for the Highest Male/Female Averages, Most Improved Male/Female Averages from each league, and High Male/Female Game.
So don't miss out! We'll see you here at North Bowl in the upstairs loft at 8pm on Thursday, May 26th!
take care,

Marshall Kavanaugh
